Project title: Rehabilitation of internal roads in the municipality of Mérk
Presentation of the project:
The Municipality of Mérk Nagyközség has successfully applied for the Operational Programme for Spatial and Urban Development Plus for the development of the municipality. With the support of the Hungarian State and the European Union, HUF 59 251 600 is available for the realisation of the objectives set out in the grant application.
With the help of a HUF 59.25 million EU grant, three roads in the municipality of Mérk will be upgraded, as follows:
- Bajcsy-Zsilinszky utca hrsz. 470 (section between 0+000-0+246 km)
- Fenyő utca hrsz. 500 (section between 0+000-0+239 km)
- Nefelejcs street, parcel no. 523 (section between 0+000-0+212 km)
The streets concerned are owned and managed by the municipality. The planned intervention aims, for all streets, to renovate and reinforce the existing pavements.
The development will make traffic safer for all road users in the area affected by the development.
The overall aim of the planned investment is to develop the local economy and boost local tourism, while respecting road safety rules and regulations.
Total length of road to be reconstructed under the project: 697 metres
Project implementation period starting date: 01 October 2022.
The physical completion date of the project is scheduled for 31 December 2025.
The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund with the support of the European Union.
